Maternity sessions with me around greater Victoria are all about slowing down and documenting this season before everything changes. Less focused on perfect poses, more focused on connection, emotion, and preserving what it felt like to carry your baby before they arrived. Honest, relaxed, and deeply intentional.
The above galleries can give you a quick overview of how I capture maternity photos. And below, the featured galleries will give you a clear idea of my style of photography, editing, consistency, and just how much of an awesome time we'll have together!

Sunrise Adventure Session
Katie + Koah
We met in the dark with headlamps on and started the hike in before the sun had even touched the horizon. This session was about holding onto the last few weeks of life as just the two of them — her little boy still her whole world, while preparing to welcome another tiny human into it. You could feel the mix of emotions all morning long; the excitement, the tenderness, and that quiet ache of knowing this season was about to change forever.
Golden hour maternity session
Danielle + Jake
They came from Washington for this session, so naturally we had to take them to one of the dreamiest West Coast locations. Just weeks away from meeting their new babe, this sunset session felt so full of emotion- the soft, intimate moments mixed with excitement, joy, and the bittersweet feeling of soaking in these final days as a family of two.

Spring intimate maternity session
MARINA + JUSTIN
Spring maternity sessions in Victoria just hit differently. We started in a beautiful Garry oak meadow filled with soft greens and golden light, then ended the evening at Black Rock Beach surrounded by driftwood and ocean air. I loved how these two locations gave their gallery so much variety while still feeling calm, connected, and true to this season of waiting for their baby.

My approach to maternity photography is centered around connection, emotion, and creating space for you to simply exist in this season as you are. I’m less focused on stiff posing and perfection, and more drawn to the quiet in-between moments - the anticipation, the softness, the love that’s already so present before your baby even arrives. I want your session to feel calm, effortless, and true to you, while creating imagery that feels timeless, emotive, and deeply personal.
Have a look through my work and get a feel for the way I document mamas - honest, emotive, and connection-focused. If it feels like your kind of storytelling, reach out and let’s chat. Once you’re ready, I’ll send over your contract and invoice. A signed contract and deposit officially secure your date.
This is where we bring your session to life. We’ll chat through all the meaningful details- locations that feel true to you. We will chat about all of the details such as wardrobe planning to ensure everything flows beautifully with the setting we choose. I’m here to guide you through the entire process so your session feels effortless, intentional, and completely true to you in this season.
I’ll send over a questionnaire so I can truly get to know you and/or your partner before we ever step into your session together. I never want sessions to feel generic or surface level. I want to understanding who you are, what matters to you, and what this season of life feels like is what allows me to document your story in a way that feels honest, personal, and deeply true to you.
On shoot day, all you need to do is show up ready to slow down and love on your growing tummy , and I’ll take care of the rest. I’ll gently guide you throughout the session so it feels natural, relaxed, and effortless while capturing this fleeting season in a beautiful, honest way.
Your proof gallery will be delivered shortly after your session, where you’ll be able to choose the photographs you love most to keep and share. Once your selections have been made, I’ll carefully hand-edit each final photograph with intention and attention to detail.
Your completed gallery will then be delivered in a beautiful online gallery + slideshow- ready to relive, download, print, and share with the people you love most.
Portrait Sessions from $700
I know firsthand that maternity sessions can feel incredibly vulnerable. Pregnancy can bring so many mixed emotions about your body, and honestly, I felt uncomfortable in my own skin during parts of my pregnancies too, to the point where I almost didn’t take maternity photos myself. Because of that, my approach is deeply focused on creating a space where you feel comfortable, beautiful, and truly seen. I’ll gently guide you throughout the session, focusing on flattering angles, natural movement, and connection over stiff posing or perfection.
Each session is designed with intention, resulting in imagery that feels soft, timeless, intimate, and deeply personal.
You do not need to know how to pose or “be good” in front of the camera! That’s my job. I know maternity sessions can feel vulnerable, especially when your body is changing so much, so my approach is gentle, guided, and focused on helping you feel comfortable and beautiful throughout the entire session. Nothing stiff or overly posed, just natural moments and flattering direction every step of the way.
The sweet spot for maternity photos is typically between 28–34 weeks. By then, your bump is beautifully visible, but you’re usually still feeling comfortable enough to move around and enjoy the session. Every pregnancy is different though, so if you’re expecting twins or tend to show earlier, I often recommend booking a little sooner. I suggest reaching out early to reserve your date, especially for spring and summer evenings which tend to book up quickly.
My approach is rooted in connection over perfection. I’m less focused on stiff posing and more drawn to the honest, in-between moments that actually feel like you. I gently guide sessions in a way that feels natural and effortless, creating imagery that is emotive, timeless, and true to your story.
I am so grateful to have crossed paths with Natasha. She has been my photographer for all the most special moments of my life. Engagement, maternity, newborn and a shoot when my son was 2 months old, (she will be my wedding photographer if I ever get married). Her pictures are ALWAYS stunning. She makes you and your parter feel super comfortable, always comes prepared, and captures amazing candid photos. She also ALWAYS has your photos back in a timely manner. I 100% recommend her! 10/10.
Natasha was such a pleasure to work with! I booked both maternity and newborn photos with her and was blown away when I saw the pictures. I had never had professional photos taken before so was very nervous, and my partner was less than thrilled about the whole thing, but Natasha made sure we all had a great time! She is so personable and gives great direction on exactly what to do to get the perfect shot. I will absolutely be booking all my family photos with her in the future. I can 100% assure you that you will not be disappointed :)
Thank you Wild Oak Creative for capturing the most special moments of my entire life! Forever grateful and very proud to have your photos displayed in my home!!

Natasha!! This woman is just incredible. I first met her when she did my maternity photos two and a half years ago, and then my newborn photos and my daughters first year photos! The only reason she didn't photograph my wedding was because she was already booked haha
Her love for children and family is palpable! You can just tell during her sessions that her heart is all in and wrapped around every moment!
It feels like you've known her forever, she's warm, personable and funny! She put a blanket on her head and danced around just to get my daughter to laugh LOL She even inspired me to pick up a camera myself and now I get to chase my own dreams!
I cannot say enough amazing things about her and I cannot wait until our next photoshoot! She never disappoints!
You're awesome, lady!!

Before the sleepless nights, the first cries, and the beautiful rawness of motherhood, there is this season. The waiting, the anticipation, the quiet moments before everything changes. These sessions are about preserving what it felt like before you finally held your baby in your arms.
