I stopped caring so much about perfectly posed photos and started noticing the moments I never wanted to lose, the little hands wrapped around your fingers, the way they reach for you when they’re tired, the toddler waddles, the chaos, the comfort, the connection. Those are the moments that matter. The ones that disappear the fastest. My sessions are about capturing your family as they truly are in this season, so years from now you can look back and remember what it actually felt like to love and be loved by them in these fleeting little years.

Ally + Family
Golden light, salty air, and two little girls running barefoot through the meadow at Island View Beach, this session was everything I love about family photography. We wandered through one of my favourite spots in Victoria, moving between the fields and ocean at sunset, capturing the real moments in between , the laughter, cuddles, and connection that make this season worth remembering.

The beautiful thing about photographing families with little kids is learning to embrace the chaos instead of fight it. This sweet family of five brought all the energy, laughter, wildness, and love, and rather than forcing perfect moments, we simply let the evening unfold naturally at one of my favourite locations- East Sooke Park.

THE LAST TODDLER SUMMER
NIKKI + Sylvie
This session was all about holding onto the last little pieces of toddlerhood before they quietly disappear. Mom wanted to remember her daughter exactly as she is right now- the baby curls, the way her tiny body still curls perfectly into her mama’s arms, the softness of this in-between stage before she grows into a little girl. We spent the evening at one of their favourite spots on the West Coast, East Sooke Park, soaking in the salty air and documenting a season of motherhood that always passes too quickly.

We’ll chat through all the meaningful details- locations that feel true to your family, any little extras that would make your session feel even more personal, and wardrobe planning to ensure everything flows beautifully with the setting we choose. I’m here to guide you through the entire process so your session feels effortless, intentional, and completely true to you.

I’ll send over a questionnaire so I can truly get to know you and your family before we ever step into your session together. I never want sessions to feel generic or surface level. I want to understanding who you are, what matters to you, and what this season of life feels like is what allows me to document your story in a way that feels honest, personal, and deeply true to you.
4. session day
Session day is all about slowing down and being present with your favourite people. Think of it less like a photoshoot and more like a little date night with your family. You don’t need to worry about posing or knowing what to do. I’ll gently guide you the entire way while leaving room for the real moments to unfold naturally. The cuddles, movement, laughter, and connection always come together beautifully.
5. Proof + FInal gallery delivery
Your proof gallery will be delivered shortly after your session, where you’ll be able to choose the photographs you love most to keep and share. Once your selections have been made, I’ll carefully hand-edit each final photograph with intention and attention to detail.
Your completed gallery will then be delivered in a beautiful online gallery + slideshow- ready to relive, download, print, and share with the people you love most.

I have SO many locations that I have spent countless hours finding- if you want a private spot, you got it! A few of my favourite locations to shoot at are Elk Lake, East Sooke Park, Tower Point, and Island View Beach.
Q: WHAT ARE SOME OF YOUR FAVOURITE LOCATIONS TO SHOOT AT?
I do things a little different. I’m not here to force your kids to smile at the camera for an hour. I’m here to capture your family as you really are. The love, the chaos, the connection, the little things you’re going to miss more than you know. If you want photographs that feel emotional, honest, and actually FEEL like your family, you’re in the right place. That's my difference. Q: What makes your approach different?
Natasha is incredibly true to her philosophy of art - to capture authentic emotion rather than a falsely curated version of 'family photos'. When our daughter wanted to play, we played! When she wanted to run, we ran! We smelled the flowers, had a pretend picnic, and swung our little one in a faux hammock. Natasha had perfect props to capture our daughters fleeting moments of attention and kept the session running smoothly from start to finish. We never felt pressured; it honestly felt like spending an hour with a good friend and our daughter was calling her "auntie" halfway through :)
Her aesthetic is stunning: fresh and earthy, yet polished and elegant. When we received out photos, we were blown away. Thank you, Natasha, we had a blast!

Natasha is the best. I mean really. My family and I have dragged her (quite willingly) on hikes down steep river banks and up little remote mountains, more than once, usually just before dark (golden hour), to get the perfect photo. She always takes it all in stride, with a laugh. Somehow she can also make a field full of invasive broom look like paradise, if less adventurous is more your style.
